Did you know: Barley, a member of the grass family, is a major cereal grain grown in temperate climates globally. It was one of the first cultivated grains, particularly in Eurasia as early as 13,000 years ago. Barley has also been used as animal fodder, as a source of fermentable material for beer and certain distilled beverages, and as a component of various health foods. It is used in soups and stews, and in barley bread of various cultures. Barley grains are commonly made into malt in a traditional and ancient method of preparation. Wikipedia

  1. What exactly are Ritchies thigh fillets? Are these already cooked or do you just put raw chicken into the soup & it’s cooked in 15 minutes?

    1. Hi Lou, these are chicken fillets which are available from our Ritchies stores. You’ll need to cook them as per the instructions in the recipe – Trim any fat or sinew from the chicken thighs, dice finely and add to the soup. Cook for another 15 minutes until the chicken is thoroughly cooked through. 🙂
